What costs will I have to pay for a web site?
Usually 3 costs occur
1. Domain name cost from $20-$40 per year this has to be paid each year or every 2 years.
2. Web hosting costs are very different but a usual web site for a small business will cost around $15 per month.
3. Website design and construction varies from company but can cost from $100-$100000 depending on the complexity. Fibonacci Web Sites starts their packages from $899.00 + GST
What will a web site from Fibonacci Systems cost me?
Domain + Site = $899.00 + $180 per year to maintain the server where the files for the site are kept and another $30-$70 per year for the domain name registration.
Here are a few more answers to dispel a few common misconceptions about how the internet all works.
1. The business that you use to connect to the internet is usually different to the business that stores your web site.
2. When you get a domain name like www.yourbusiness.com.au the www is just there for convenience and is not necessary for your web domain name to work.
3. It’s better to have you own domain name for your email e.g. joe@yourbusiness.com.au. This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it . You own this and when you change who you get your internet connection through (ISP) you won’t lose it or have to change it.
About .com domains
.com domains are the most common domain and are usually associated with American Firms the “com” stands for “commercial”; you can have any .com domain you like as long as it’s available.
